Diversity and Tolerance in a Modern English Language Classroom

Now more than ever, tolerance and acceptance of different lifestyles, cultures and religions are necessary if we are to be responsible citizens of the 21st century. This is particularly prevalent if we, as citizens, are committed to the idea that peace and harmony between peoples and nations is a top priority.

It is arguable that few places exist where a mix of cultures, religions, and values can be on such stark display, than that of inside an English language learning classroom.

By their existence alone, English Language classrooms can easily attract students from all corners of the world, and as English continues to assert itself as the dominant language of communication throughout the world, schools in English speaking countries will most definitely continue to play host to citizens from all over the world.
